Skulls

Taking inspiration from the scientific and the artistic. JCKSN has created a series of images that mimic the effect of placing one density of liquid into another. While the technical aspects of this series were a challenge it was a greater challenge still to sculpt and create the objects that inhabit the ethereal shapes and place them so that they live within the natural bumps bulges and curves of the simulated fluid without becoming the main focus of the eye.

The objects: a fetus, a mother and a skull.  All signify the human condition of death and rebirth.  The images are at once a frozen tableau, and part of a constantly evolving and changing substance.

JCKSN created the children’s toys for the provocative War Child campaign entitled ‘JAM’.

The we worked alongside John St to bring attention to protecting the childhood of those children surrounded by war.

“If childhood is taken away and replaced with the brutality of war, the chances of a society becoming trapped in a cycle of violence and poverty are greatly increased. We believe that childhood is one of the most precious of resources, and we have a responsibility to protect it, rescue it, and restore it.” – War Child’s COO, Dr. Lorna Read
